About

VYGKX.US represents the Vanguard Global ex-U.S. Real Estate ETF. This exchange-traded fund (ETF) seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index that measures the investment return of real estate companies and REITs located in developed and emerging markets outside of the United States. It allows investors to gain diversified exposure to international real estate investments without directly purchasing properties or individual company stocks. The fund may invest in large-, mid-, and small-capitalization companies and generally invests all, or substantially all, of its assets in the stocks comprising the index.

Factors

Market Interest Rates: Rising rates generally decrease bond fund values, while declining rates increase values.

Credit Risk: Downgrades or concerns about issuer solvency negatively impact the fund's NAV; upgrades have the opposite effect.

Inflation Expectations: Rising inflation erodes fixed income values, causing prices to fall; falling inflation increases prices.

Economic Growth: Strong growth might lead to higher rates and lower bond prices; weak growth might lead to lower rates and higher bond prices.
