UGL.F represents the ProShares Ultra Gold ETF, a financial product designed to deliver twice the daily performance of the price of gold bullion. It aims to provide leveraged exposure to gold, meaning it seeks to amplify gains when gold prices rise but also magnify losses when gold prices fall. As an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), UGL.F trades on stock exchanges, offering investors a relatively liquid way to gain short-term leveraged exposure to the gold market. However, due to the effects of compounding and volatility, its performance over periods longer than a single day can significantly differ from two times the cumulative return of gold.
