About

Fidelity International High Dividend ETF (FVD.US) is an exchange-traded fund seeking to provide investment results that correspond to the performance of the Fidelity International High Dividend Index. This index is designed to reflect the performance of stocks of large- and mid-capitalization developed market companies, excluding the U.S., that exhibit higher dividend yields. The ETF generally invests substantially all of its assets in the component stocks of the index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the economic characteristics of such component stocks. Investors often use FVD to gain exposure to international dividend-paying companies.

Factors

Underlying Holdings Performance: The ETF's price is directly influenced by the performance of the dividend-paying Canadian stocks it holds. Supply and Demand: Market forces of buying and selling pressure impact the ETF's price; higher demand can drive prices up. Dividend Yield Changes: Fluctuations in dividend yields of underlying stocks can make the ETF more or less attractive. Management Fees and Expenses: The ETF's expense ratio, though small, reduces overall returns, impacting its price slightly. Interest Rate Environment: Changes in prevailing interest rates can affect the attractiveness of dividend-paying stocks versus bonds.
