Factors

Natural Gas Futures: UNG.MX's primary goal is to track the daily changes in percentage terms of the spot price of natural gas delivered at Henry Hub, Louisiana. Therefore, the price of natural gas futures contracts is the biggest driver. Supply and Demand: Broadly, natural gas prices are influenced by the interplay of supply (production, imports, storage) and demand (heating, power generation, industrial use, exports). Weather Patterns: Weather significantly impacts demand for natural gas, especially during peak heating (winter) and cooling (summer) seasons. Extreme temperatures drive higher demand and prices. Storage Levels: The amount of natural gas held in storage facilities is closely monitored. Higher than average storage levels can put downward pressure on prices, while lower levels can support them.
