About

TECS.US represents the ProShares UltraShort Technology ETF. This exchange-traded fund (ETF) seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to two times the inverse (-2x) of the daily performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Technology Index. In essence, TECS is designed to profit when technology stocks, as measured by the underlying index, decline in value. It is important to note that due to the effects of compounding, the fund's performance over periods longer than one day will likely differ from the stated multiple of the index's performance. As such, it's generally used as a short-term hedging tool or for tactical trading strategies based on anticipated declines in the technology sector.
