MBVAX.US represents the MainStay MacKay DefinedTerm Municipal Opportunities Fund, a closed-end fund. This fund primarily invests in a portfolio of investment-grade municipal bonds with the objective of providing current income exempt from federal income tax, consistent with preservation of capital. The fund aims to achieve its objective by investing at least 80% of its net assets in municipal securities and intends to liquidate on or about August 31, 2026, at which time investors will receive their pro rata share of the fund's net asset value.
