Factors

Market Interest Rates: Rising rates often decrease bond values, lowering the fund's NAV, as older bonds become less attractive.

Credit Risk: Downgrades of bonds held by the fund can reduce its value if investors perceive increased default risk.

Inflation Expectations: Higher inflation erodes the real value of fixed income, putting downward pressure on bond prices.

Economic Growth: Strong growth can lead to higher rates and potentially lower bond fund valuations.

Geopolitical Events: Global events causing economic uncertainty can impact investor confidence and bond prices.

Fund Management Expertise: Skillful management in asset allocation and security selection can improve fund performance.
