DUG.US represents the ProShares Ultra Oil & Gas ETF. This ETF seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to twice (2x) the daily performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Index. It's a leveraged ETF, meaning it uses financial derivatives and debt to amplify the returns of the underlying index. DUG is designed for short-term trading and is not suitable for long-term investment due to the effects of compounding, which can significantly impact returns over extended periods. Investors should carefully consider the risks associated with leveraged ETFs before investing.
