About

DFVX.US represents the Direxion Daily Small Cap Bull 2X Shares ETF. This exchange-traded fund aims to deliver twice the daily performance of the Russell 2000 Index, which tracks the performance of approximately 2,000 small-cap companies in the United States. As a leveraged ETF, DFVX is designed for short-term trading and is not intended for long-term investment strategies due to the effects of compounding, which can cause returns to deviate significantly from the underlying index's performance over longer periods. Investors should understand the risks associated with leveraged ETFs before investing in DFVX.

Factors

Factor 1: Underlying Holdings Performance: DFVX's price directly reflects the combined performance of the various volatility futures contracts it holds. Gains or losses in these contracts influence the ETF's net asset value and market price. Factor 2: Volatility Expectations: DFVX aims to provide exposure to short-term volatility. Changes in market participants' expectations regarding future volatility levels significantly impact demand for and pricing of volatility futures, and therefore DFVX. Factor 3: Supply and Demand: Basic market forces also play a role. Increased demand for DFVX, relative to supply, will push its price higher, while increased selling pressure can drive the price lower. Factor 4: Roll Yield: The "roll yield" from continuously rolling over expiring volatility futures contracts into new contracts can positively or negatively affect DFVX's performance depending on the shape of the volatility futures curve (contango or backwardation).
