HXQ.TO represents the Horizons Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF, a Canadian-listed exchange-traded fund that seeks to replicate, to the extent possible, the performance of the Nasdaq 100 Index while mitigating downside risk through a covered call strategy. The ETF invests in and holds the constituent securities of the Nasdaq 100 Index and writes covered call options on a portion of the portfolio to generate income. This strategy can provide income and potentially reduce volatility, but may limit participation in potential upside gains of the Nasdaq 100.
